You can register/deregister and change your registration of the online study work/vhb exam anytime at the vhb website before the deadline.
After the deadline, you'd have to contact the course supervision(s) to change your registration (provided that you are registered to one of the two exams).

You'll then also be asked if you'd like to take part in the exam for part 1 (provided that you've the required amount of points to take part in the exam for part 1).
